Simple Present Passive Voice

Simple Present Passive Voice को प्रयोग सामान्यतया वर्तमान समयमा भइरहने नियमित कार्य, बानी, वा सर्वमान्य सत्य कुराहरू व्यक्त गर्दा गरिन्छ—जहाँ काम गर्ने व्यक्ति (Subject) भन्दा काम के भयो वा कसको माथि भयो (Object) भन्ने कुरा बढी महत्त्वपूर्ण हुन्छ । नेपालीमा वाक्यको अन्त्यमा धातुसँग ‘इन्छ’, ‘इन्छन्’, ‘इन्छु’, ‘इन्छौ’ जस्ता प्रत्ययहरू आउँदा यो Tense को Passive Voice प्रयोग हुन्छ ।

केही उदाहरणहरू हेरौं:

  • यहाँ अंग्रेजी बोलिन्छ । — English is spoken here.
  • चामलबाट भात पकाइन्छ । — Rice is cooked from rice grains.
  • हामीलाई विद्यालयमा सजाय दिइँदैन । — We are not punished at school.

संरचनाहरू (Structures)

  • Object + is / am / are + V₃ (+ by + Agent) — (गरिन्छ, खाइन्छ, पठाइन्छ)
  • Object + is / am / are + not + V₃ — (गरिँदैन, खाइँदैन, पठाइँदैन)
  • Is / Am / Are + Object + V₃ ? — (के गरिन्छ ?, के खाइन्छ ?)
  • Wh- word + is / am / are + Object + V₃ ? — (कहाँ गरिन्छ ?, कसरी बनाइन्छ ?)

📌 नोट (याद राख्नुपर्ने कुरा):

  • Active voice को Object लाई Passive voice मा अगाडि (Subject को ठाउँमा) ल्याइन्छ ।
  • Singular Object (He, She, It, Single noun) सँग Is प्रयोग हुन्छ ।
  • Plural Object (We, You, They, Plural nouns) सँग Are प्रयोग हुन्छ र I सँग Am प्रयोग हुन्छ ।
  • Passive Voice मा क्रिया सधैं V₃ (Past Participle) रूपमा मात्र रहन्छ (जस्तै: spoken, cleaned, made)।

नेपालमा थुप्रै चाडपर्वहरू मनाइन्छन् । Many festivals are celebrated in Nepal.
हरेक बिहान कोठा सफा गरिन्छ । The room is cleaned every morning.
यो पत्रिका काठमाडौंमा छापिन्छ । This newspaper is printed in Kathmandu.

यहाँ गाडी पार्क गर्न पाइँदैन (गरिँदैन) । Cars are not parked here.
यस पसलमा मदिरा बेचिँदैन । Alcohol is not sold in this shop.
मलाई कुनै जानकारी दिइँदैन । I am not given any information.
[Questions / प्रश्नवाचक]
के तिम्रो गाउँमा चिया उत्पादन गरिन्छ ? Is tea produced in your village?
के तिमीलाई पार्टीमा निमन्त्रणा गरिन्छ ? Are you invited to the party?
[Wh- Questions]
यो खाना कसरी पकाइन्छ ? How is this food cooked?
तिमीलाई कहाँ पठाइन्छ ? Where are you sent?

थप वाक्यहरू (More Sentences)

  • धान वर्षायाममा रोपिन्छ । — Rice is planted in the rainy season.
  • कम्प्युटरहरू कार्यालयमा प्रयोग गरिन्छन् । — Computers are used in the office.
  • गरिब बालबालिकाहरूलाई नि:शुल्क शिक्षा दिइन्छ । — Poor children are given free education.
  • के यहाँ नेपाली रुपैयाँ स्वीकार गरिन्छ ? — Is Nepali currency accepted here?
  • तिम्रो गल्ती सधैं माफी गरिँदैन । — Your mistake is not always forgiven.
  • उसलाई सबैले सम्मान गर्छन् (वा ऊ सबैद्वारा सम्मानित हुन्छ) । — He is respected by everyone.
  • फोहोर बाटोमा फालिँदैन । — Garbage is not thrown on the street.
  • यो उत्सव कहिले मनाइन्छ ? — When is this festival celebrated?

Grammar Spotlight: ‘By + Agent’ को प्रयोग कहिले गर्ने ?

Passive voice मा काम कसले गर्‍यो (Agent) भन्ने कुरा देखाउन वाक्यको अन्त्यमा by + person थपिन्छ । तर यदि काम गर्ने व्यक्ति को हो भन्ने कुरा पहिले नै प्रष्ट छ, वा थाहा छैन, वा महत्त्वपूर्ण छैन भने by प्रयोग गरिँदैन ।

  • सही (No agent needed): Thieves are arrested. ❌ (by police लेखिरहनु पर्दैन, किनकि चोर समात्ने काम प्रहरीकै हो)।
  • सही (Agent needed): This book is written by Santosh. (यहाँ लेखक को हो भन्ने खुलाउन आवश्यक छ)।
